What is Veterans Build

Veterans Build is a program to provide housing solutions to US veterans, military service members, and their families. The Veterans Build program has three components:

Build- Provide simple, decent and affordable housing solutions for military, veterans and their families.
Educate- Engage military and veterans by providing access to financial literacy and homeownership education programs.
Honor- Highlight veteran housing needs and honoring their service.

What are the qualifications for Veterans Build

Owning a home is part of the American Dream. Individuals & families who wish to apply for a Habitat home in the East St. Tammany communities of Slidell, Lacombe, Alton, and Pearl River must meet the following criteria:

Need for shelter
Willingness to partner
Ability to pay
Filled out application
Provide DD-214
