On Wednesday, February 17, 2010, East St. Tammany Habitat for Humanity gathered with their newest Partner Family, Traci Leatherman, to break ground on what will be her new home. Traci’s house is sponsored by a project called, “Apostle Build,” where churches and faith organizations come together to sponsor and build a home for a family in need. This year’s Apostle Build home is sponsored by Greater Northshore Full Gospel Baptist Church, Aldersgate United Methodist Church, The Village Church – Lutheran, St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Lamb of God Lutheran Church, and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans – Thrivent Builds World Wide program. Thank you for all that came to make the kick off for this home a special day for Traci and her son Daijon. This is just the beginning of their journey and we have more road to travel but our start was a huge success!
